My name is Olivia Narvaez and I am a senior at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. I am majoring in both advertising and public relations. Before reaching Eugene, I was born and raised in the beautiful city of San Francisco. Growing up in my beloved city shaped who I am today. As an avid baseball fan, my eyes swelled up with joy when in 2011 the San Francisco Giants won the World Series- probably the greatest day of my life. Sports have always been a part of my life; I played lacrosse and field hockey for my high school and have played soccer since I could walk. I attended Catholic private school up until now. Religion is an important treasure that I hold dear. If you don’t have anything to believe in, you have nothing. The University has helped me grow and experience new things. I aspire to be an active professional and use what I have learned in the years to come.
